Biography
As a finance careers instructor, Matt has the unique opportunity of educating every finance student at Northern Illinois University. He specializes in teaching career development, networking, resume building, Microsoft Excel, business writing, interviewing, Python, R and SQL.
Beyond his role in the classroom, he organizes the College of Business Career Fair, serves as faculty advisor for the Financial Management Association and teaches consulting through the college’s Experiential Learning Center.
Prior to working at NIU, Benning worked in corporate finance, with experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, risk management and research and development.
